Abstract

In modern times, along with the rapid development of technology, innovative approaches have become widely used in the field of Education. One of these ways is gamification, that is, to make the educational process interesting and productive using game elements and mechanics. Gamification contributes to increasing the motivation of students, increasing their activity and deeper assimilation of the material. This method is used not only for children, but also in training programs for students of different ages.Based on the analysis and review, the research work of five scientists is considered, in particular, L. D. Tsiruleva, Ya.  A. Makakenko, M. A. Lapina, A. Z Alekseeva, S. I. Nikitin [1-5].  The authors analyze the main definitions of gamification, its place in the education system, advantages and disadvantages. In the research work, the impact of elements of gamification on students, the possibilities of increasing their motivation to learn and the possibilities of enhancing cognitive activity are considered. The article shows that gamification contributes to increasing the motivation of students and developing their cognitive activity. It also compares the definitions of gamification by different authors and discusses the prospects and possibilities of this method in the field of Education.
